Kitchen Manager/HeadChef

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in providing high-quality, nutritious and appealing meals to our residents. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background, excellent management skills and a commitment to creating a positive dining experience for everyone.

Responsibilities:

* Plan and execute daily menu plans, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences of residents
* Lead kitchen staff, providing guidance, scheduling, training, and support as needed
* Ensure food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, taste, and presentation
* Maintain kitchen cleanliness, organization, and compliance with food safety regulations
* Control food and supply costs while maintaining high-quality standards
* Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, residents, and staff
* Continuously evaluate and improve the dining program to meet the evolving needs of residents

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar leadership role in a large-scale kitchen operation
* Strong culinary skills, including knowledge of cooking techniques, recipes, and menu planning
* Ability to manage and motivate a team of kitchen staff
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices – Must have comprehensive food handling safety certificate
* Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills
* Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
